Institute for Family Health-Walton Family Practice

The Institute for Family Health is non-profit health care provider that provides primary care services to underserved patients in New York City and the Hudson Valley. The Walton Family Health Center was constructed by the Institute in 1997 to provide neighborhood health services to the Walton Ave. community. In 2009 the Institute decided to expand the capacity of the existing facility, due the increased need in the community.

The project consists of an addition adjacent and on top of an existing one story 5200 SF primary care health center. The total addition is 11,300 SF for a total of 16,500 SF. The roof of the existing building was developed as a green roof with an outdoor terrace. Walton is pursuing LEED certification.
